Job Description

Re-Invent is our Company's returnship program welcoming back individuals who’ve left the workforce for 2+ years. Our simple objective is to create an empowering space for professionals to re-enter while accelerating their growth into leadership roles. Over six months we would invest in your development through project work, cross-functional exposure, targeted coaching, and leadership visibility.

In this program you will be required to exercise independent judgment and support significant projects and be making key decisions that directly impact business outcomes.

Our opportunities reside in our Manufacturing, Global Workplace & Enterprise Services, & Global Supplier Management Groups.

Global Vaccines & Biologics Commercialization:

The mission of GVBC is to commercialize our Company's pipeline of biologics and vaccines leading to innovation in medicine and a brighter and healthier future for people around the world. We are accountable for three types of processes. Through the execution of process science, we ensure that our company’s processes are well-characterized and well understood. Through process engineering, we make sure that our company’s processes can be scaled up or scaled out into the manufacturing facilities with our respective partners. And, lastly, we’re responsible for supporting the regulatory applications associated with process science and process engineering.

Builders – Vaccine Facing:

The goal of the Vaccine Builders is to improve global access for our vaccines by building new innovative and efficient facilities across our network. Vaccine Builders are responsible for Facility Start-up which includes design, commissioning, equipment qualification, process demonstration, facility licensure, and capacity realization covering various roles within Operations, Maintenance, Automation, and facility management. In order to deliver forward-looking facilities, we are incorporating new technologies; ensuring the job is done right first time; looking for sustainable solutions to reduce our emission and energy use; and developing our people with new capabilities. Value Chain Management:

Value Chain Management (VCM) is accountable for Our Manufacturing Division’s product strategy in alignment with brand/franchise goals, integrated risk management, supply chain design, and continuous improvement of the product supply chain. VCM work is strategic, spanning the entire life cycle of products, stabilizing the ongoing business through appropriate risk management, and designing the supply chain/network for the future. Our Value Chain Management Chain team ensures supply is consistently available to meet customer demand. We coordinate consider all aspects of end-to-end supply including raw material sourcing, making, inventory thresholds, regulatory constraints, etc. Our work is highly integrative and requires project management, team building, and communications skills to prioritize and drive results.

Global Tech Operations:

The Global Technical Operations (GTO) Organization’s mission is to provide the entire breadth of technical expertise needed to manufacture and test Biologics products spanning upstream production, downstream purification, formulation, and filling unit operations. We do this by continuously gaining, managing, and sharing deep technical knowledge in technology transfer activities, franchise technical and regulatory strategy and execution, routine commercial manufacturing support, leading-edge sterile manufacturing technologies, digitally-enabled manufacturing business processes, & advanced analytics to evaluate process performance.

Global Procurement:

Research & Development Sourcing & Procurement (RDSP) partners with our Research Laboratories to drive innovative and strategic supplier solutions for the research and development of our Company's therapeutics and vaccines. Our priorities are driving value and managing risk while enabling swift execution of scientific objectives across the pharmaceutical R&D life-cycle. Core activities include strategic sourcing of goods and services based on an in-depth understanding of suppliers, supply markets, and supply chains. We also collaborate across the enterprise to achieve cross-functional business objectives and process improvements.

Global Workplace:

The vision for the Global Workplace and Enterprise Services (GWES) organization is to improve patient’s lives by providing world-class facility services & solutions that enable innovative research, medicines, & vaccines. We deliver critical building and site services, including facility management, emergency response, utilities (including electricity and water), and real estate strategy. The future of work and needs of the workplace are constantly changing so we are also seeking to re-imagine and continuously improve our operations and supporting business processes for our valued colleagues across the Company's enterprise.

Program Requirements:

Required Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, Pharmaceuticals, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and/or related field with 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience; or Ph.D. with 4 years of relevant experience.

Required Experience and Skills:

The candidate must have taken a career break of 2+ years. A career break is defined as having taken a break from Corporate America; any entrepreneurial explorations, transition to academia, or other personal circumstances constitute as a break.

Candidate must be eligible to work in US without sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Skills:

Candidate has demonstrated leadership experience in field of study, extracurricular activity, previous internship or undergraduate research, military or prior work experience.

Candidate should possess superior communication and interpersonal skills, a team-player with the ability to work collaboratively.

VCM Candidate should have some broad cross functional knowledge/skills/experience in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Regulatory, Quality and Compliance, and/or Operations. Proficiency in project and portfolio management tools and techniques is desirable.

GTO Candidate should have a strong scientific understanding of vaccine/biologics processes and products as well as being knowledgeable on relevant regulatory and GMP requirements.
